How do I join a friend's game?

While in the game's main menu, tap your friend's icon. If your friend is currently at a table, you'll see a 'Watch tables' button. Tap it, then press 'Play'.

You can also invite a friend to play with you. Tap the + on a free position at your table and select a friend. Your friend will receive an invitation to play with you.
